It was a bittersweet goodbye to our foster weimie Bauer. He had been with us for over a month and he definitely became part of the family. The cats would probably strongly disagree with that statement but they are old grouchy cats that disagree with everything! (Bailey + Cali – I still love you to pieces!)
Bauer was underweight, badly frostbitten ears, and “happy” tail. He came right up to my husband at the Weimie Meet + Greet. He would go and play and then come back to Matt for a little love.
He found us. I strongly believe that all of our animals “find us”. They seek out what THEY need and at the same time – maybe it is something that WE need in our lives.
Bauer was a breath of fresh air for us and a reminder how energetic puppies are! We loved every minute (please note: the cats asked to be exempt for agreeing to anything I say in this note!). From coming home exhausted after hikes, playing at the dog park and endless fetching in the backyard. He was our baby + we were honored to nurse him back to a happy + healthy weimie!
Thank you Mile High Weimie Rescue! We were so blessed by this temporary “visitor” in our home + family.

March 2010 - this was the day we took Bauer home with us

May 2010 - this was taken an hour before the new adoptive parents picked him up
