Survivors was written in conjunction with Colorado State University Animal Cancer Center.

Proceeds are donated to the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation that supports the medical oncology residency program at Colorado State University Animal Cancer Center.

“Meet Sage, the “HERO” Border Collie. She worked at PENTAGON, in the aftermath of HURRICANE KATRINA and Rita, Afghanistan, and in the swamps of IRAQ. Sage is as comfortable in the back of a Blackhawk helicopter as the back seat of her car. Sage is also a Cancer Survivor.

Jamie,
I teach with your mother here in California, and saw your book on her desk, it is so beautiful! You really capture the essence of these animals. My daughter just got her vet tech certification and is looking for a vet job to get her hours in. When the book comes in we will enjoy it together. Last June we lost our 13 year old dark red golden retriever, your shot of the tail really got to me. Great job, great cause.
