Lola is the face of Hope + Inspiration.
Lola was found by a walgreens in Lakewood last October. She was under weight, scared and had obviously braved the elements of living on her own for awhile. She also had a lump in her throat. At first the vet thought it was a hematoma. It turned out to be Intermediate Grade Thyroid Cancer – the size of a golf ball!
Lola had surgery and now she is cancer FREE!
She was nursed back to health by her rescue mom, Brandi who also runs the Mile High German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue (www.MileHighGSP.org).
Lola is happy and carefree with her loving foster family! Go Lola!
Lola will be part of the “Survivors” Book to be released in Sept 2010. “Survivors – Your Best Friend’s Journey with Cancer”. Five inspirational stories of dogs with cancer and how they overcame the disease with Medicine, Love and Support.

I love how her back feet don't even touch the ground!

Yes - a very weird perspective but sometimes these are my fav shots. See the tennis ball in the distance?

Happy Lola.
