I have taken several classes on lighting, portraits, photoshop, lightroom. I have attended weekend seminars about photography + business. I have found amazing photographers and emailed them (probably more like stalked and harassed them!) with a thousand questions. I still to this day pick the brains of other photographers that have a special knack that I so desire. I am constantly learning from my clients, colleagues and myself. So to answer you question (kinda) - I learned from several "schools" but also self-taught a great deal. Get out there and shoot! That is the best way to start!
