I had the honor of photographing the talented and beautiful Kyla Duffy this spring in Boulder with Bill, her Boston Terrier rescue. He is just the cutiest stinkin’  Boston! He didn’t care too much for his studio session but he blossomed into the “true Bill” on his mountain hike.

Please see the article about Kyla and her efforts to help rescue dogs. Kyla has put forth consistent support for rescue dogs and has used her talents to help dogs in many different ways. We (and rescue dogs) are fortunate to have someone as wonderful as Kyla on this planet.

What a wonderful night! Bow Wow Buddies Foundation (www.bowwowbuddies.com) put on their 2nd Annual Project Ruffway 2010 at the Mile High Station in Denver, Colorado. It was a great success – dancing, light shows, exquisite models and lovable furry dogs from Table Mountain Shelter (http://www.tablemountainanimals.org/).

Believe me ~ i really struggle leaving Meet + Greets empty handed – I try to remain neutral and not get attached. I know in my heart that if I release those *floodgates*…wow – every dog would come home with me…*every* dog. I am a sucker.

Bauer was a stray that was found in Kansas. He was 2 days from being put to sleep when Mile High Weimie Rescue saved him. His ears have been badly frostbitten and he seriously needs some *beefing up*. Otherwise he is as sweet as can be!

He loves our kids. He gets along great with our lab (The "Doctor") and he is very curious about the cats. The cats are grouchy old ladies and have decided that they are going to hide in the basement and "wait this one out". Bauer could care less about them and their whereabouts. Go Bauer!

He went on a hike with us + was Awesome with the gentle leader. He was quite the star and everyone had to stop + visit. We dropped his leash once and he came right back. What a good boy!

As soon as I took this shot - I knew Matt was "Hook, Line + Sinker" (geeez).

Xeena is a sweet 1 year old gray female. "Z" is house trained, crate trained (she sleeps in it at night) comes when called and can sit on command.

Hunter had a family who lost their home and he is now in rescue. He is a 7 year old male , and a trained hunting dog. He is crate-trained, house-trained and gets along with medium to large sized dogs, both males and females.

Miley is a loving 2-year-old Weimaraner with basic training. She loves to give kisses and receive belly rubs.

just could not get enough of this beauty! Louise is a stunning blue weimie with amazing gold eyes (I think it took a whole 5 minutes to snap off 30 beautiful pics of her).

Lee is a great dog full of energy and he loves to fetch-fetch-fetch!

Bauer came to MHWR from Kansas as a stray. He loves kids, going on hikes/runs, curious about cats + LOVES to counter surf! More on him later ~ a little surprise. And yes - that is my hubby in the pic!
