Calling all dog “Survivors”!

This year I will be writing/photographing a book about a very special topic – Canine Cancer. Dogs get cancer just like humans. They can be treated and recover beautifully (just like humans too). The book will be called:

“Survivors – Your Best Friend’s Journey with Cancer“ Five inspirational stories of dogs with cancer and how they overcame the disease with Medicine, Love and Support.

We hope that this book will Build Awareness of this disease and further Programs for canines with cancer. Our goal is to sell 100 copies! (release date Sept 2010)

We are currently looked for potential candidates for the book. The dog must meet the following requirements:

1. The dog MUST have/or had cancer.

2. The dog MUST be in treatment/ or have had treatment for cancer.

3. Live in Denver area (within 50 miles).

Some details about potential dog candidates:

They must be willing to meet for a 1 hour photo session, be interviewed about their dog’s journey with cancer and sign a release waiver. (Official vet papers proving dog’s cancer will also be required).

Some details about the book:

1. I will be working with the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation (www.bowwowbuddies.com) to create this masterpiece of beautiful flowing images of canine cancer dog survivors. They are a wonderful non-profit organziation that supports Colorado State University and their Canine Cancer Treatment + Research Center.

2. 100% of the proceeds will go back to the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation.

3. The book will be released September 2010 at the Bow Wow Buddies 5K Race.

How This Works:

E-mail jaime@jaimerowephotography.com with dog’s name, breed (pic would be awesome too), type of cancer, time frame of cancer treatment, where treatment took place (vet name + facility), your name, address, phone, e-mail.
