My story starts with a one-eyed guinea pig named “Surprise”…
One summer day, we purchased a guinea pig at our local pet store and within a few days we had another guinea pig in the cage – “Surprise!”.
“Surprise!” came to be a member of our little Midwestern family. I grew up as the “little girl with coke-bottle glasses”, Strawberry Shortcake shoes, knee-high socks, and pigtails.
My family consists of 2-legged (husband and kids) and 4-legged (two dogs) members. My life has been filled with one-eyed guinea pigs, albino angora rabbits, blue parakeets, beta fish, stray black cats, purebred dogs and lovable mutts.
My inspiration stems from my musical mother, who taught me to celebrate the music and movement of all living things; my children rolling with laughter in the grass; and any fashion/lifestyle magazine I can read between kissing boo-boos and tying shoes.
I describe my style as Whimsical Sophistication. People have said that they can “feel the dog’s personality” through a single photograph. I have shared moments of “belly” laughter and moments of soft silence with my clients and their pets.
